AND

BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY

DECISION
This is an application by Kieran Joseph Grealish for renewal of an on-licence in respect of premises situated at 69 Peel Street, Gisborne, known as “The Irish Rover”.
In addition to the renewal of the on-licence, the applicant seeks to extend the hours during which the sale of liquor is authorised to Monday to Sunday 8.00 am to 3.00 am the following day. Furthermore the applicant requests that the first floor of the premises be designated as supervised. The ground floor bar and garden bar will remain supervised from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm and restricted at all other times. The applicant also seeks pursuant to Regulation 7(3) of the Sale of Liquor Regulations 1990 to include the receiption area on the first floor within the licensed premises.
The application was duly advertised and no objection or notice of desire to be heard has been received. Accordingly we deal with the matter on the papers.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard as set out in s.22 of the Act. We renew the licence until 24 March 2006, that being the anniversary date of the licence and three years from the last renewal, and authorise the issue of a replacement licence and notice of renewal.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 29th day of May 2003
