ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY

[1] Before the Authority is an application by Christian Noel Hacon for a General Manager’s Certificate.

[2] The application in this case was filed with the Agency on 12 September 2002. At the time of the application Mr Hacon was unable to show that he had received any formal training. Furthermore, he had no current employment in the industry and there were no character references.

[3] These omissions were pointed out to Mr Hacon, and in September a letter was sent to him asking for the required information. Mr Hacon has failed to respond to the letter, and has not been in touch with the Agency since the application was first filed.

[4] Not surprisingly Mr Hacon has not appeared in support of the application, and it is quite clear that Mr Hacon has no intention of following up his application.

[5] In all the circumstances and taking into account the provisions of s.121 of the Act, the application will be declined.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 24th day of May 2006
