ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] Before the Authority is an application by Cassandra Jane Ross for a General Manager’s Certificate.
[2] Ms Ross filed her application with the Wellington District Licensing Agency on 26 April 2006. The application was accompanied by a Licence Controller Qualification and a supporting reference from the licensed premises where Ms Ross was working at the time. A letter was sent by the Agency to Ms Ross requesting her to contact the District Licensing Agency Inspector to arrange a date and time for an interview. In the Wellington area all applicants are interviewed to establish their experience, qualifications and knowledge of the Act.
[3] Ms Ross failed to make an appointment for an interview and a further letter was sent. Subsequent contact was made at the premises where Ms Ross had been employed only to find that she had left her place of employment.
[4] Ms Ross has failed to appear today in support of her application and we therefore draw the inference that she is no longer interested in pursuing it and accordingly the application is now declined.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 16th day of October 2006
