ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] Before the Authority is an application by Varjesh Sharma for a General Manager’s Certificate.
[2] The applicant filed the application in November 2005. At the time the applicant was employed by the Waitakere Licensing Trust. The applicant failed to respond to a request for an interview. Interviews are conducted in order to establish an applicant’s knowledge and understanding of the Act, as well as other relevant issues such as host responsibility.
[3] The Inspector received confirmation that the applicant’s employment had been terminated in March of this year. There is no Licence Controller Qualification on file. There being no appearance it is clear that this applicant is no longer interested in pursuing the application, which is accordingly declined.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 6th day of November 2006
