ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] This is an application by Shane Gordon Perry for the renewal of his General Manager's Certificate. Mr Perry was granted his certificate on 5 August 2002.
[2] He filed his application with the Agency in August of last year. By that time the Act had been amended to make it compulsory for all applicants to obtain the Licence Controller Qualification before they could be granted either the renewal of a certificate, or the certificate itself.
[3] Mr Perry was contacted by way of written communication or telephone asking for a copy of the qualification to be supplied as a matter of urgency. He failed to do so. Furthermore, he has failed to appear in support of his application. The inference we draw is that he no longer is intending to carry on with the renewal of his certificate. Accordingly, and as a matter of law, the application is declined.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 30th day of October 2007
