ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] Before the Authority is an application by Anita Petra Funnell for the renewal of her General Manager's Certificate.
[2] Ms Funnell was first granted her certificate on 22 February 2006. When she filed her application with the Agency, she was written to and asked what steps she had taken to manage the sale and supply of liquor pursuant to the licence with the aim of contributing to the reduction of liquor abuse.
[3] Furthermore she was asked for a copy of the Licence Controller Qualification. The applicant was asked for an answer to the written question and a copy of the qualification urgently. There was no further response.
[4] Ms Funnell has failed to appear in support of her application. We draw the obvious inference that she is no longer interested in pursuing the application. Accordingly, and as a matter of law, the application will be declined.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 30th day of October 2007
