ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] This is an application by Michelle Anne Gibbons for the renewal of her General Manager’s Certificate.
[2] The certificate fell due for renewal on 30 April last. In her application Ms Gibbons described her occupation as that of office manager.
[3] The Inspector made contact with Ms Gibbons confirming that it was now necessary for her to be the holder of the Licence Controller Qualification. A period of two months was allowed for her to obtain this requirement but there was no response. There was no proof provided that Ms Gibbons was in fact employed within the industry, and additionally, she has failed to appear in support of her application.
[4] We are unable to grant the application as a matter of law because of the amendment to the Act. In all the circumstances the application is now refused.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 22nd day of May 2007
