Ms M J McLeod – Auckland District Licensing Agency Inspector – in opposition

ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY

[1] Before the Authority is an application by Pablo Rust pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager's Certificate.

[2] The applicant filed his application on 1 October 2007 with the Auckland District Licensing Agency. The applicant is the holder of the Licence Controller Qualification which was issued on 13 September 2007.

[3] The District Licensing Agency wrote to the applicant on three occasions inviting him to attend an interview, which is a prerequisite before the General Manager's Certificate could be granted. The first letter was written, on 21 April advising of a date for him to attend. Two further letters were written to which there was no response and the applicant failed to attend any of the interviews that were scheduled.

[4] The assumption is that the applicant is no longer interested in pursuing his application and there was no appearance by him before the Authority. Under the circumstances we are unable to grant the application, and it is now refused.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 25th day of July 2008

B M Holmes
Deputy Secretary Pablo Rust.doc(aw)
