ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY

[1] We have before us applications by Dongmin Lin, Zhou Sheng Chen and Jacqueline Gail McCurran for General Manager's Certificates.

[2] All applications were filed with the Auckland District Licensing Agency in 2007. In each case all three applicants were written to and asked to attend for an interview in order to assess their knowledge of the Act and host responsibility. In each case the applicants failed to appear and also failed to appear for a second interview that had been scheduled.

[3] In those circumstances the Inspector was unable to file a positive report and all three matters were set down for a public hearing. All applicants failed to appear and there was no explanation given for the non appearance.

[4] In those circumstances we have drawn the only available inference that each applicant is no longer interested in pursuing the application. In those circumstances all three applications are now declined.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 20th day of February 2008

Deputy Secretary
