DECISION

We have before us an application by Sergeant N P McGlone of Tauranga Police dated 27 August 2010, for suspension of a General Manager’s Certificate held by Duncan James Hammon.

The ground for the application is that the conduct of the manager has been such as to show that he is not a suitable person to hold the certificate.

Mr Hammon was stopped by the Police while driving and he registered an excess alcohol level of 655 micrograms per litre of breath. A conviction for this offence was entered on 8 July 2010 incurring a $630 fine and six months disqualification from driving.

The respondent does not dispute the ground for the application and he has agreed to suspension of his manager’s certificate. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:

General Manager’s Certificate number 021/GM/1842/2000, issued to Duncan James hammon, is suspended for 30 days from Monday 11 October 2010.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 17th day of September 2010
