DECISION

In decision NZLLA PH 1310/2009 we made an order suspending a General Manager’s Certificate held by John Park for eight weeks from 1 December 2009. Mr Park did not register an appearance at the hearing and the order was made in absentia.

A recent visit by a District Licensing Agency Inspector to the licensed premises in which the respondent works reveals that Mr Park was unaware of the suspension commencement date and had continued to work during the period specified.

Constable Pillay has requested that the matter be revisited. Mr Park has expressed himself willing to undergo the suspension from an alternative date.

Accordingly, we agree to rehear the matter on the papers pursuant to s.110(3) and we make the following amended order:

General Manager’s Certificate number GM/007/284/07, issued to John Park, is suspended for eight weeks from 1 May 2010.
