DECISION

We have before us an application by Constable N R Laurenson of Avondale Police dated 9 August 2010 for suspension of an off-licence following a controlled purchase operation conducted on Saturday 10 July 2010.

The ground for the application is that the premises have been conducted in breach of the provisions of s.155 of the Act – sale of liquor to a person under 18 years of age.

The respondent does not dispute the ground for the application and has agreed to the suspension of the off-licence. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:

Off-licence number 007/OFF/118/2008, issued to Scorpion Liquor (2006) Limited, is suspended for 48 hours from 9.00 am on Saturday 22 January 2011 until 9.00 am on Monday 24 January 2011.
