DECISION

We have before us an application by Sergeant M C Van Der Veeken of Cambridge Police dated 17 November 2010, for suspension of a General Manager’s Certificate held by Katie Victoria Moyle.

The ground for the application is that the conduct of the manager has been such as to show that she is not a suitable person to hold the certificate.

While driving on 11 September 2010 Ms Moyle was processed by the Police for alcohol intake and registered an excess level of 866 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath. The permissible limit is 400 micrograms per litre.

On 6 October 2010 she was convicted in the Hamilton District Court, fined $700 and disqualified from driving for six months.

The respondent does not dispute the ground for the application and she has agreed to suspension of her manager’s certificate. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:

General Manager’s Certificate number 016/GEN/0015/09, issued to Katie Victoria Moyle, is suspended for 90 days from Monday 24 January 2011.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 9th day of December 2010
