ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] Before the Authority is an application by Wesley Paul Hughes for a General Manager's Certificate pursuant to s.118 of the Act. Mr Hughes applied for his certificate with the Auckland District Licensing Agency on 4 December 2008. He is the holder of the Licence Controller Qualification, which was issued to him on 5 November 2008.
[2] The applicant was advised by the District Licensing Agency that as his work visa expired on 5 June 2009, he needed to report to the Agency to sign an appropriate undertaking. The applicant failed to present to the District Licensing Agency and no extended work visa has been presented. No response has been received to a telephone call to the applicant to remind him of the requirements and there was no appearance by him before the Authority.
[3] The assumption is that the applicant is no longer interested in pursuing his application and as a consequence the application is now refused.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 16TH day of March 2010
