ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] This decision relates to the resumption of a hearing of an application by Robert Douglas Arend de Haan pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager's Certificate.
[2] In decision NZLLA PH 78/2009 following a public hearing at Hamilton on 18 December 2008, the Authority adjourned Mr de Haan’s application for a General Manager's Certificate. At that time he was employed at the “Bank Bar and Brasserie” in Hamilton.
[3] At the hearing today Mr de Haan failed to appear. It is understood that he is no longer employed at the “Bank Bar and Brasserie” and indeed is no longer working in the industry. It is clear that he does not intend to pursue his application for the General Manager's Certificate.
[4] Accordingly, the application is declined.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 18TH day of March 2010
