DECISION

We have before us an application by Gary Robert Sweetman for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate.

The District Licensing Agency Inspector opposed the application because he was not satisfied that Mr Sweetman was currently employed in the hospitality industry. The Inspector was mindful of our general approach that managers’ certificates should be being used for the purpose for which they are intended. The matter was referred to the Authority for determination.

Our Secretary has now received confirmation from the applicant’s employer and the Inspector’s opposition is withdrawn.

We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.126 of the Act and we grant the application. A notice of renewal is attached to this decision.
