ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY

[1] This decision relates to an application by Serah Marion Hikietta Mokaraka (Ngatai) pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager's Certificate.

[2] On 30 March 2009 the Authority heard an application by the applicant for a General Manager's Certificate (see NZLLA PH 390/2009). The application was opposed by the Police on the basis that the applicant had been charged with theft. In those circumstances the Authority adjourned the application for a period of six months on the basis that the applicant obtain a reference from her employer indicating that person’s willingness to employ her in a managerial capacity. If that was obtained and there was no further opposition then it was proposed that the application would be dealt with on the papers.

[3] Nothing further has been heard from the applicant. She has been advised of this hearing. She is not present. In those circumstances the application is refused.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 30TH day of April 2010
