Last Updated: 7 May 2010
Decision No.517/2010
IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by TERRENCE JOHN WILSON pursuant to s. 123 of the Act for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Chairman: District Court Judge J D Hole
Member: Dr J Horn
We have before us an application by Terrence John Wilson for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate.
The Police opposed the application because Mr Wilson was convicted for excess breath alcohol in March of this year. The matter was referred to the Authority for determination.
Discussions between the Police, the New Plymouth District Licensing Agency Inspector and Mr Wilson have resulted in an agreement that the Police’s concerns will satisfied by a shorter renewal period.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.126 of the Act and we grant the application, for a period of twelve months. A notice of renewal is attached to this decision.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 4TH day of May 2010
