ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] Before the Authority is an application for a General Manager's Certificate by Jayesh Kumar Patel. The application was received by the Wellington District Licensing Agency on 21 January 2010. It was supported with a copy of the required Licence Controller Qualification.
[2] The application was opposed by a Wellington District Licensing Agency Inspector on the basis that Mr Patel had failed to satisfy the Inspector as to his knowledge and understanding of the Act at three interviews on 17 February, 2 March and 9 March 2010.
[3] The matter was accordingly set down for a public hearing. There has been no appearance by Mr Patel. We make the reasonable assumption that he is no longer interested in pursuing the application and nor can we be satisfied as to the criteria set out in s.121 of the Act.
[4] The application is accordingly refused.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 18th day of May 2010
