HEARING at BLENHEIM on 20 May 2010

No appearance by or on behalf of applicant
ORAL DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] Before the Authority is an application by Anna Rebecca Loomes for a General Manager's Certificate pursuant to s.118 of the Act. The application was received by the Kaikoura District Licensing Agency in July 2009.
[2] The application was opposed by the District Licensing Agency Inspector. In his report he records that the Agency had tried on eight separate occasions to contact the applicant for an interview in order to determine her knowledge and understanding of the Sale of Liquor Act. The matter was accordingly set down for a public hearing.
[3] Not surprisingly there has been no appearance by Ms Loomes. We draw the reasonable conclusion that she is no longer interested in pursuing the application. In any event we are unable to be satisfied as to the matters set out in s.121 of the Act. The application is therefore refused.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 26TH day of May 2010
