IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by JAKUB VONDRLIK pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Quorum: Mr P M McHaffie
Ms J D Moorhead
FINAL DECISION
In decision [2010] NZLLA PH 180, following a public hearing at Auckland on 19 February 2010, we adjourned an application by Jakub Vondrlik for a General Manager’s Certificate for three months.
A District Licensing Agency Inspector had opposed the application on the basis of concerns as to Mr Vodrlik’s eligibility to work in New Zealand. While this matter was resolved in the course of the hearing, it was agreed by the applicant and the Inspector that the matter should be adjourned for three months for him to gain more experience.
The Agency Inspector has advised our Secretary that there have been no further matters of concern brought to their attention during the period of adjournment and opposition to the application is now withdrawn.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.121(1). The certificate may issue immediately. The certificate will be noted “undertaking given” which refers to the undertaking given by the applicant that he will only utilise the certificate while he has a valid visa.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 25th day of June 2010
