DECISION

We have before us an application by Senior Sergeant R A Knight of Waihi Police, dated 13 May 2010, for suspension of a General Manager’s Certificate held by Tania Te Whata.

The ground for the application is that she has shown herself an unsuitable person to hold a manager’s certificate. In particular, on 4 April 2010 she was found driving with excess breath alcohol. She was convicted of this offence in the Thames District Court on 16 April 2010.

The respondent has agreed to suspension of her manager’s certificate. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:

General Manager’s Certificate number GM/418/2005, issued to Tania Anne Te Whata, is suspended for 30 days from 26 July 2010.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 25th day of June 2010
