Decision No. 007/2010
IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by SATNAM
SINGH MANN pursuant to s.118
of the Act
for a General
Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Quorum: Ms J D Moorhead
Dr J Horn
FINAL DECISION
We have before us an application by Satnam Singh Mann for a General Manager’s Certificate.
The District Licensing Agency Inspector opposed the application because the applicant had failed to provide evidence of having achieved the Licence Controller Qualification prescribed by s.117A of the Act.
A public hearing was held in Auckland on 23 October 2009, and the application was adjourned for three months to allow Mr Mann a further chance to obtain the qualification (see LLA PH 1336/2009).
The applicant has provided our Secretary with a copy of the qualification. We are now satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.121(1) of the Act and we grant the application, subject to the undertaking set out in our earlier decision. The certificate may issue immediately, and will accordingly be marked with the notation “undertaking given”.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 13th day of January 2010
