DECISION
We have before us a joint application by Mr M E Clearwater, a New Plymouth District Licensing Agency Inspector and Senior Constable C McGrath of New Plymouth Police , dated 8 June 2010, for suspension of a General Manager’s Certificate issued to Tiara Tawhiri Puke.
The ground for the application is that Ms Puke’s conduct has been such as to show that she is not a suitable person to hold the certificate. In particular, Ms Puke was convicted of assault after an altercation between herself and an elderly relative on 21 February 2010, which ended with her punching the victim in the head twice.
The respondent has agreed to suspension of her manager’s certificate. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:
General Manager’s Certificate number 033/GM/275/2002, issued to Tiara Tawhiri Puke, is suspended for 21 days from Monday 16 August 2010.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 14th day of
July 2010
