DECISION

We have before us an application by Acting Sergeant J H Gibbs of Timaru Police, dated 23 June 2010, for suspension of a General Manager’s Certificate held by Josephine Murray, following a controlled purchase operation on 22 May 2010.

The ground for the application is that the respondent has conducted the licensed premises in breach of s.155 of the Act. In particular, on 22 May 2010 a volunteer, aged 17 years old at the time, was able to purchase a bottle of “Durbanville Hills” wine.

The respondent has agreed to suspension of her manager’s certificate. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:

General Manager’s Certificate number 064/GM/88/2009, issued to Josephine Murray, is suspended for two weeks from 30 August 2010.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 27th day of July 2010
