DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY

[1] Before the Authority are applications by Kelly Atamira Tairakena and Wiremu Whetu Marama Stewart Abraham pursuant to s.118 of the Act for General Managers’ Certificates.

[2] Both applicants are holders of the Licence Controller Qualification and both applicants appeared before the Authority.

[3] The applicants stated to the Authority that they are not currently employed in the industry and had no immediate intentions of seeking employment in the industry.

[4] The applicants were advised that they needed to be employed within the industry before their General Managers’ Certificates could be granted.

[5] In the circumstances we are unable to grant the applications and they are now refused.
