DECISION

We have before us an application by Constable N R Paterson of Orewa Police dated 17 June 2010, for suspension of a General Manager’s Certificate held by Jaspreet Kaur following a controlled purchase operation on Thursday 10 June 2010.

The ground for the application is that the manager has failed to conduct the licensed premises in a proper manner. The respondent was the duty manager in premises at 1 / 2 Bay Street, Red Beach, known as “Red Beach Four Square” when liquor was sold to a volunteer aged at the time 17 years and eight months.

The respondent does not dispute the ground for the application and she has agreed to suspension of her manager’s certificate. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:

General Manager’s Certificate number GM/08/143/2000, issued to Jaspreet Kaur, is suspended for four weeks from Monday 20 September 2010.
