BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY

Mr P M McHaffie
DECISION
We have before us an application by Constable S J Chenery of North Shore Police dated 20 July 2010, for suspension of a General Manager’s Certificate held by Jeremy David Charles Mattison.
The ground for the application is that the conduct of the manager has been such as to show that he is not a suitable person to hold the certificate.
Mr Mattison was apprehended while driving on 18 April 2009. He registered an excess alcohol level of 1108 micrograms per litre of breath, almost three times the permissible maximum of 400 micrograms per litre. A conviction was entered on 9 July 2009. Mr Mattinson was fined $650 and disqualified from driving for seven months.
The respondent does not dispute the ground for the application and he has agreed to suspension of his manager’s certificate. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:
General Manager’s Certificate number GM/007/717/09, issued to Jeremy David Charles Mattison, is suspended for one month from 1 November 2010.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 3rd day of September 2010
