DECISION
We have before us an application by Antonia Chloe Sommer Morgan for a General Manager’s Certificate.
The Police opposed the application because Ms Morgan had only recently attained the age of 18 years and there were some concerns as to her ability to manage licensed premises given her limited experience and comparative youth.
Additionally, the District Licensing Agency Inspector reported that the premises identified in the application form as Ms Morgan’s place of employment is no longer trading. Attempts by the Agency to contact the applicant have proved fruitless.
Ms Morgan has not appeared in support of her application and we take the inference that she has lost interest in pursuing it.
We are unable to be satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.121(1) of the Act and the application must, therefore, be refused.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 25TH day of November 2011
