IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by NADIA RACHELLE CROW pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Chairman: District Court Judge J D Hole
Member: Ms J D Moorhead
DECISION
We have before us an application by Nadia Rachelle Crow for a General Manager’s Certificate.
The Police opposed the application because Ms Crow had failed to declare all of her convictions, the two most recent of which were for liquor related traffic offences in 2006 and 2008. The application was referred to the Authority for a public hearing.
In the interim the Police have advised our Secretary that Ms Crow has provided an explanation for the details omitted from her application, and they have forwarded a letter of support from her employer and an alcohol and drug assessment report from the Hanmer Clinic in Hamilton declaring that there is no evidence of dependency. In the circumstances the Police no longer oppose the application.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.121(1) of the Act and we grant the application. The certificate may issue immediately.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 16TH day of March 2011
