IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989

AND

IN THE MATTER of an application by LIQUOR.COM LIMITED pursuant to s.41 of the Act for renewal of an off-licence in respect of premises situated at 456 Queen Street, Auckland, known as "Liquor. Com"

BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY

Chairman: District Court Judge J D Hole
Member: Ms J D Moorhead

DECISION

This is an application by Liquor.Com Limited for renewal of an off-licence in respect of premises situated at 456 Queen Street, Auckland, known as "Liquor.Com”. The business trades as a bottle store with hours authorised for the sale of liquor between 8.00 am and 3.00 am the following day. No changes are sought to the conditions of the licence.

The application was duly advertised and no objection or notice of desire to be heard has been received but reports from the Police and District Licensing Agency Inspector recommended that the trading hours be reduced. The Police suggested the following times:

Sunday to Tuesday 8.00 am to 11.00 pm; and
Wednesday to Saturday 8.00 am to 12.00 midnight.

The applicant has accepted the recommendation. Accordingly we deal with the matter on the papers.

We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard as set out in s.45 of the Act. We renew the licence until 19 December 2013, that being the anniversary date of the licence and three years from the most recent date of expiry, and we authorise the issue of a replacement licence and a notice of renewal.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 6th day of May 2011
