DECISION

We have before us an application by Sergeant S D Benge, of Upper Hutt Police, dated 28 February 2011, for suspension of a General Manager’s Certificate held by Cameron John Lett following a controlled purchase operation on Saturday 29 January 2011.

The grounds for the application are that the conduct of the manager is such to show that he is not a suitable person to hold the certificate in that he was the duty manager when liquor was sold to a person under the age of 18 years in breach of the provisions of s.155 of the Act.

The respondent does not dispute the grounds for the application and he has agreed to suspension of his manager’s certificate. Accordingly, we make the following order by consent:

General Manager’s Certificate number 049/GM/358/2008, issued to Cameron John Lett, is suspended for four weeks from Monday 4 July 2011.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 25th day of May 2011
