DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] This is an application by Prasad Nandkishor Salaskar pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager's Certificate.
[2] The application was filed with the District Licensing Agency in December 2009 and supported with a copy of the required Licence Controller Qualification. The application was opposed by the District Licensing Agency Inspector and the Police.
[3] While the applicant was said to be working in the “Masala Restaurant” the Police noted that there were work permit issues. The matter was accordingly set down for a public hearing.
[4] There was however no appearance by the applicant. In these circumstances we are unable to be satisfied as to the criteria set out in s.121 of the Act and make the reasonable assumption that he no longer wishes to pursue the application.
[5] The application is accordingly refused.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 26TH day of May 2011
