IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by CALLUM WAUGH BURNS pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Quorum: Mr P M McHaffie
Ms J D Moorhead
DECISION
We have before us an application by Callum Waugh Burns for a General Manager’s Certificate.
The Police opposed the application because Mr Burns was unable to demonstrate any recent experience in the operation of licensed premises. The matter was referred to the Authority for determination.
A supplementary report to our Secretary from the Police advises that the applicant has now reached a satisfactory level of knowledge and experience and opposition has been withdrawn.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.121(1) of the Act and we grant the application. The certificate may issue immediately.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 17thday of June 2011
