DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY

[1] Before the Authority is an application by Alastair Allan David Gibbons for a General Manager's Certificate pursuant to s.118 of the Act. The application was received by the Wellington District Licensing Agency on 6 December 2010. The application attracted opposition from the Police due to convictions that had been incurred by Mr Gibbons. The matter was accordingly set down to be determined at a public hearing.

[2] There was however, no appearance by Mr Gibbons. We are therefore unable to be satisfied as to the matters set out in s.121 of the Act. We also draw the reasonable conclusion that he no longer wishes to pursue his application.

[3] The application is refused.
