IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by TANIA TEKARETI CLARK pursuant to s.123 of the Act for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Chairman: District Court Judge J D Hole
Member: Ms J D Moorhead
FINAL DECISION
In decision [2010] NZLLA PH 847, following a public hearing at Whakatane on 5 August 2010, we adjourned an application by Tania Tekareti Clark for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate for six months.
The Police had opposed the application on the basis of Miss Clark having allegedly breached a liquor ban. However, at the hearing that opposition was withdrawn.
Miss Clark advised that she was no longer working in the hospitality industry but hoped to re-enter the workforce in that capacity within a short period. On that basis we elected to adjourn the matter until evidence of employment had been provided.
The Agency Inspector has now forwarded to our Secretary a letter of confirmation of employment at “The Mill Liquorsave” in Whakatane. Accordingly we will deal with the application on the papers.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.126 of the Act and we grant the application. A notice of renewal is attached to this decision.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 12th day of July 2011
