IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by ALEXANDER JAMES GENET pursuant to s.118 of the Act for a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Chairman: District Court Judge J D Hole
Members: Mr D E Major
Mr R S Miller
FINAL DECISION
In decision [2012] NZLLA PH 221, following a public hearing at Wellington on 29 February 2012, we adjourned an application by Alexander James Genet for a General Manager’s Certificate for six months.
The Police and District Licensing Agency Inspector had opposed the application on the basis of Mr Genet’s relative youth and inexperience in the management of licensed premises. Accordingly the application was adjourned for six months.
The Police and Agency Inspector have advised our Secretary that there have been no matters of concern brought to their attention during the period of adjournment, and opposition to the application is now withdrawn.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.121(1) of the Act and we grant the application. The certificate may issue immediately.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 11th day of October 2012
B M Holmes
