IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by TANIA KIM THOMSON pursuant to s.123 of the Act for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Members: Ms J D Moorhead
Mr R S Miller
DECISION
We have before us an application by Tania Kim Thomson for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate.
In decision [2012] NZLLA 991 dated 7 September 2012, we made an order to suspend the certificate following Ms Thomson having been given a pre-charge Police warning in response to an incident of dishonesty in licensed premises. The order was the consequence of a Police application pursuant to s.135 of the Act which resulted in a negotiated settlement between the Police and the applicant, who also agreed to accept a truncated term of renewal of her manager’s certificate when next it was due to expire.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.126 of the Act and we renew the certificate for one year until 21 September 2013. A notice of renewal is attached to this decision.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 5TH day of November 2012
