DECISION

In decision [2012] NZLLA 1225 dated 2 November 2012 we made an order to suspend an on-licence in respect of premises situated at 399 Hutt Road, Lower Hutt, known as "Strike Entertainment Centre". The term of suspension was imposed as a consequence of a failed controlled purchase operation conducted on Friday 11 May 2012.

The suspension was due to commence on Friday 23 November 2012.

The respondent has advised our Secretary that the business is hosting an international tenpin bowling tournament on the dates prescribed in the order and seeks to have the suspension rescheduled to a later date. The tournament has been pre-arranged for some months.

The respondent has suggested, as an alternative, three days from 26 December 2012.

In the circumstances we agree to rehear the matter on the papers pursuant to s.110(3) and we grant the application.

Accordingly, we make the following amended order:

On-licence number 048/ON/241/2007, issued to Bowland Limited, is suspended for three days from 7.00 am on Wednesday 26 December 2012 until 7.00 am on Saturday 29 December 2012.
