IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by KULAPHONG WATCHARAWANNEE pursuant to s.123 of the Act for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Quorum: Mr P M McHaffie
Ms J D Moorhead
DECISION
We have before us an application by Kulaphong Watcharawannee for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate.
The applicant incurred a conviction for a liquor related traffic offence that took place in February 2011. As a consequence, while not opposing renewal, the Police and District Licensing Agency Inspector have recommended that the certificate only be renewed for a term of 18 months. The applicant has agreed to this course of action.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.126 of the Act and we grant the application. A notice of renewal is attached to this decision.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 6th day of March 2012
