AND
IN THE MATTER of applications by JAZMINE JOY HUGHES and KELLY GAIN pursuant to s.118 of the Act for General Managers' Certificates
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Quorum: Ms J D Moorhead
Mr P M McHaffie
HEARING at WELLINGTON on 28 February 2012
APPEARANCES
No appearance by or on behalf of applicants
Mr R McDonald – South
Wairarapa District Licensing Agency Inspector – in opposition
DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] Before the Authority are applications for General Managers' Certificates by Jazmine Joy Hughes and Kelly Gain. Both applications were filed with the South Wairarapa District Licensing Agency in 2009. Accordingly they are of some antiquity. The reason for this is that contact with both applicants has been lost. Ms Hughes apparently left the area and Ms Gain has left New Zealand and returned to Canada.
[2] Not surprisingly when the applications were called at a public hearing there was no appearance by either applicant. We are unable to be satisfied as to the criteria set out in s.121 of the Act and in accordance with our usual practice the applications are refused.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 9th day of March 2012
