IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by EUAN GARTH ANDREWS pursuant to s.123 of the Act for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Quorum: Mr P M McHaffie
DECISION
We have before us an application by Euan Garth Andrews for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate.
In decision [2012] NZLLA PH 218, following a public hearing at Wellington on 29 February 2012, we made an order to suspend Mr Andrews’ General Manager’s Certificate following an application by the Police in relation to the applicant having incurred a conviction for a liquor related traffic offence. At the hearing Mr Andrews indicated that he would be willing to accept a shortened term of renewal of his manager’s certificate.
The District Licensing Agency has referred the renewal application to the Authority and we now deal with that matter on the papers.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.126 of the Act and we renew the certificate for 12 months until 15 March 2013. A notice of renewal is attached to this decision.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 19th day of March 2012
