IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by ROBERT WILLIAM MCKENTY pursuant to s.123 of the Act for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Quorum: Mr P M McHaffie
Ms J D Moorhead
DECISION
We have before us an application by Robert William McKenty for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate.
The Police and District Licensing Agency Inspector opposed renewal because the applicant was unable to provide evidence of current employment in licensed premises. The application was referred to the Authority for determination at a public hearing.
Prior to those proceedings the Police and Agency Inspector received advice that Mr McKenty has gained employment in the industry and opposition to renewal is withdrawn.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.126 of the Act and we grant the application. A notice of renewal is attached to this decision.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 12th day of April 2012
