DECISION OF THE AUTHORITY
[1] Before the Authority is an application by Constable Sebastian Ioan Miklos of the Auckland Police for the suspension or cancellation of the General Manager's Certificate issued to Katrina June Ramsay.
[2] The grounds for the application are that the conduct of the manager has been such as to show that she is not a suitable person to hold the certificate. In particular it is alleged that Miss Ramsey has been convicted of possessing instruments for cannabis.
[3] The evidence which was admitted by consent was that the respondent was convicted and discharged in the Auckland District Court on 27 October 2011 for the offence which took place on 7 August 2011.
[4] We find the grounds for the application to be proved. We also believe that it is desirable to make an order for the suspension of the certificate. The General Manager's Certificate issued to Katrina June Ramsay is suspended for 30 days commencing on Wednesday 20 June 2012, being the date elected by her.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 10TH day of July 2012
