IN THE MATTER of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989
AND
IN THE MATTER of an application by LUKE STEVEN PIPER pursuant to s.123 of the Act for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate
BEFORE THE LIQUOR LICENSING AUTHORITY
Chairman: District Court Judge J D Hole
Member: Dr J Horn
DECISION
We have before us an application by Luke Steven Piper for renewal of a General Manager’s Certificate.
In decision [2012 NZLLA 714 we made an order to suspend Mr Piper’s manager’s certificate following his having been arrested for breach of a liquor ban. No conviction resulted.
However, Mr Piper accepted a recommendation that his manager’s certificate be renewed for a truncated term when next it was due to expire.
We are satisfied as to the matters to which we must have regard in s.126 of the Act and we renew the certificate for one year until 24 April 2013. A notice of renewal is attached to this decision.
DATED at WELLINGTON this 17th day of July 2012
