DECISION

We have before us an application by Senior Constable I Patton of Christchurch Police dated 10 August 2012, for suspension of an off-licence following a controlled purchase operation conducted on Thursday 12 April 2012.

The ground for the application is that the premises have been conducted in breach of the provisions of s.155 of the Act – sale of liquor to a person under 18 years of age.

The respondent does not dispute the ground for the application and agreed to suspension of the off-licence. Following discussion with the Police regarding a suitable date for closure the applicant has advised our Secretary that the premises ceased trading on Thursday 19 July 2012. Accordingly, we ratify the following order by consent:

Off-licence number 057/OFF/79/2010, issued to Southern Boundary Wines Limited, was suspended for 24 hours on Thursday 19 July 2012.

DATED at WELLINGTON this 23rd day of August 2012
