Unless the context otherwise requires, every reference in any document whatsoever (other than in this Act or in an enactment specified in Schedule 4 )—a) to custody of a child under the Guardianship Act 1968 is, after this Act comes into force, to be read as a reference to the role of providing day-to-day care for the child under this Act; andb) to access to a child under an order under the Guardianship Act 1968 is, after this Act comes into force, to be read as a reference to contact with the child under an order under this Act.
