Regulations adding further breed or type to Schedule 4
78A Regulations adding further breed or type to Schedule 4
1 The Governor-General may, by Order in Council, in accordance with a
recommendation of the Minister, amend Schedule 4 by doing 1 or more of the
following to the schedule: a) adding a further breed or type of dog to the
schedule; or
b) moving the name or description of any dog from part of the
schedule to another part of the schedule.
2 An Order in Council made under
subsection (1) may not come into force except in accordance with a
commencement order made under section 78B .
3 An order under subsection (1)
is secondary legislation (see Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019 for
publication requirements).
History: Section 78A: inserted, on 1 December
2003, by section 46 of the Dog Control Amendment Act 2003 (2003
No 119). Section 78A(3): replaced, on 28 October 2021, by
section 3 of the Secondary Legislation Act 2021 (2021 No 7).
