12 Conservation objectives to be considered by Director-General
In the exercise of any of the powers conferred on the Director-General by this
Act, the Director-General shall have regard to the desirability of preserving
the natural features and marine life of reserves, and, in particular, shall
ensure that— a) reserves are maintained so far as possible in a state of
nature; and
b) reserves are available for the purposes of scientific
research.
