RESERVES AND OTHER LANDS DISPOSAL ACT 1935 - SECT 4
Cancelling the reservation over Lot 8, DP 15561, Town of Tokoroa, and authorising the issue of a title therefor to the Matarawa Land Co., Ltd
4 Cancelling the reservation over Lot 8, DP 15561, Town of Tokoroa, and
authorising the issue of a title therefor to the Matarawa Land Co., Ltd
Whereas upon the deposit by the Matarawa Land Company, Limited, in the office
of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, on 16 June 1922, of a survey plan
of the Town of Tokoroa, numbered 15561, the reserves shown thereon became
vested in the Crown pursuant to section 17 of the Land Laws Amendment Act
1920: And whereas one of those reserves, containing 1 rood
6 perches and two-tenths of a perch, being Lot 8 on the said plan, was set
apart thereon as a post office site: And whereas the
said Lot 8 was not considered suitable for a post office
site: And whereas the said company subsequently
transferred to the Crown for this purpose Lot 45, containing 34 perches and
sixty-two hundredths of a perch: And whereas it is
equitable that the said Lot 8 should now be revested in the said
company: Be it therefore enacted as
follows:
1 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, the reservation as a post
office site over Lot 8 on plan numbered 15561, deposited in the office of the
District Land Registrar at Auckland, is hereby cancelled, and the
Governor-General may by Warrant under his hand authorise the District Land
Registrar at Auckland to issue in respect of the said Lot 8 a certificate of
title to the Matarawa Land Company, Limited, being a company duly incorporated
under the provisions of the Companies Act 1908.
2 Such certificate of title
shall be issued without payment of any fee and no consideration shall be
payable by the company on the revesting in it of the said Lot 8.
